Serenity

IMG_3110I took this picture during my stay at Stockholm, Sweden, and I found that the city seemed so calm and tranquil even at 4:30 in the evening and the view was captivating. This moved me to take out my camera and capture the shot.

The Symbol of Love

Taj

Took this picture of the Taj Mahal back in April when I visited Agra for someone’s wedding. It is really a magical structure.

Picture post-processed in photoshop.

The Drops of Life

Drops of Life

This image was taken just after a light pre-monsoon shower in Delhi, India. The remaining drops on water really made the flower more beautiful and lively.

A Winter in Stockholm

IMG_2927

I really loved this place when I went to Stockholm for the first time. There was a lot of snow around and very few people on the streets. The colors of buses, buildings and road signs seemed magically enhanced thanks to the brilliant whiteness of the snow. This is a picture capturing the winter.

Biking in Barcelona

IMG_7753_LomoOne of the first things I noticed when I went to Barcelona (Spain) was the vibrant red and white bikes they keep for the people to hire and ride through the city. I just loved their colors and took this picture. They call it Bicing!

Top of the World

Eiffel TowerThis is a picture I took from the summit of Eiffel Tower in Paris. Really, being there you do feel like on Top of the World.

The Vatican City and Museums

Last year, I visited the beautiful Vatican City near Rome, Italy and I was truly amazed by its wonderful atmosphere and magnificent architecture. It is a city like none other and I would love to visit it once again sometime in the future. Sharing some of my pictures here.

Saint Peter’s Square (Italian: Piazza San Pietro, is located directly in front of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, the papal enclave within Rome.

St. Peter’s Square with an Obelisk at the center

In 1817 circular stones were set to mark the tip of the obelisk’s shadow at noon as the sun entered each of the signs of the zodiac, making the obelisk a gigantic sundial’s gnomon.

Following is the view of Vatican City Museums from the top of St. Peter’s Basilica.

The Vatican Museums

The Vatican Museums (Italian: Musei Vaticani), in Viale Vaticano in Rome, inside the Vatican City, are among the greatest museums in the world, since they display works from the immense collection built up by the Roman Catholic Church throughout the centuries, including some of the most renowned classical sculptures and most important masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world.

The vatican museums have scores of rooms filled with Frescos, which were very popular through the Renaissance.

Blues of a Calm Night – 2

Just another picture I took near my home in Noida, India. Only a few vehicles on an otherwise calm road. Introduced some lomo effect on the edges and used infrared actions to make the scene look blue.

An Evening in The City

This is a picture I took at Connought Place (CP), Delhi in front of a building called Statesman House that has dominated the landscape of CP for so many decades. It is an amazing scene to stand at the outer cirle at CP and have a look around especially in the evenings.
